Davie County has holiday activities to delight both young and old this Saturday!
Advance Christmas Parade at 10 a.m
Grab some hot chocolate and enjoy the 25th Advance Christmas parade presented by the Advance Fire Department.
All parade participants must line up before 9 a.m. Floats and trailers will meet in the LeBleu parking lot located at 3134 Cornatzer Rd., Advance, NC 27006. All classic cars, fire trucks, motorcycles, horses and other parade participants will meet in the parking lot of Shady Grove Elementary School located at 3179 Cornatzer Rd. The parade begins at 10 a.m. at the school and follows Cornatzer Road, turning right onto Highway 801 and left on Peoples Creek Road. The parade will be held rain or shine.
Registration is FREE and can be done on-site at arrival.
Christmas in Mocksville – Fun in the Park from Noon – 4 p.m.
Join us in charming downtown Mocksville for Fun in the Park! The fun will be located at Main Street Park and includes a petting zoo, face painter, an inflatable to play in, and the chance to make a craft with downtown merchants.
PLEASE BRING A TOY DONATION TO THE PARK FOR TOYS FOR TOTS!
While you are downtown, don’t forget to do a little Christmas shopping in the unique shops and dine in one of the delightful restaurants.
Beautiful Christmas cards with photos of historic downtown Mocksville are now available at these fine merchants: 4 Seasons Treasures & Wine, Artist Market on Main, Bird & Co., Foster Drug Company, My Friends’ Place, Sadie’s Shoppe, SouthernMood, Vintage Sunflower, as well as the Davie Chamber and the Town of Mocksville
The cards are $3 each; two for $5 or all three for $8.
The Dewey’s Bakery holiday fundraising store on Main Street, which benefits the Davie County High School War Eagle Band, is now open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m., and Sunday from noon – 6 p.m. until December 24th. The store is located at 67 Court Square to the left of Restaurant 101, next to Wicked Salon.
FREE Hayride Through Downtown Mocksville from 6 – 8 p.m.
What better way to end the evening and enjoy the Christmas lights than a hayride ride down Main Street! Bring your family, friends, and a blanket and hop on board!
The FREE hayrides begin at Mocksville’s Main Street Park and circle through downtown from 6 – 8 p.m.
