Two Free Concerts Saturday, August 24th – Mocksville & Town of Bermuda Run!

Davie County has two free concerts Saturday night that are sure to thrill music lovers of all ages.  While downtown Mocksville is rocking, Bermuda Run will be dancing to the top tunes of the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s. Learn more about the plans for The Park at Lake Louise, during an informational meeting on Tuesday, August 6th at 6:30 pm at 64 Bistro at Colin Creek Golf Club. The public park will be adjacent to and integrated with the Colin Creek Golf Club, formerly Lake Louise and Hickory Hill. The 12-hole golf course and restaurant are already open. Davie CONNECT and DCCC, the Community College of Davidson and Davie Counties joined forces on Wednesday, May 8th at the Davie Campus in Mocksville for the first co-sponsored job fair. The event brought together more than 20 employers representing a wide range of professions and industries. Substance Abuse Family Education (SAFE) members will host their first annual Superhero Gala on Saturday, May 11 at 6 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church Family Life Center on North Main Street in Mocksville. The evening will include a meal, an inspirational speaker, recognition of SAFE participants and information regarding the program.
