Hometown Christmas Parade ~ “Winter Wonderland” Don’t miss the 2014 Hometown Christmas Parade sponsored by the Davie County Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, November 22 in historic downtown Mocksville. This year’s parade theme is “Winter Wonderland,” and all types of entries are welcome, from horseback riders and single vehicles to full-blown floats featuring performers and folks walking in a group.  First-place prize for the parade participants is $75; second place wins $50 and third place earns $25. Bed Races and Hometown Christmas Parade Will Kick-off 2014 Hometown Holiday Celebration

Dunlop Bringing New Aviation Manufacturing Jobs to Mocksville

British manufacturer Dunlop Aircraft Tyres has selected Mocksville, North Carolina as the site for its first retreading facility in the United States. Don’t Miss the Annual Bullhole Catfish Fry – Saturday, October 18th

On Saturday, October 18th, Ron Shoaf will be frying catfish fillets, hush puppies and fries along with Ron Webb, Ron Bivins and nearly a dozen other childhood buddies at RiverPark’s 12th Annual Fall Catfish Fry.  The annual catfish fry was started to raise funds to purchase land for the park.  Today, the annual event is held to raise funds to keep the 80-acre nature park open and clean.
