Four Oaks Festival – Free Community Event This Saturday!

Come out to downtown Mocksville for a day of family fun during the annual Four Oaks Festival this Saturday, October 11 from 10 AM until 6:30 PM with live music all day beginning at noon. Free Event – Community Day and Anniversary Celebration – Davie Medical Center

On Sunday, October 5, 2014 form 2-5 PM, Wake Forest Baptist Health Davie Medical Center is hosting a community day and a one year anniversary celebration.  The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place at Davie Medical Center, located at 313 NC Hwy 801 North, Bermuda Run. War Eagle Drive! Community Celebrates Ground Breaking for New Davie County High School

Thursday, September 25, 2014 was a day of celebration for Davie County as the community came together to celebrate the groundbreaking for the new Davie County High School.  Hundreds of folks were on hand to help celebrate the opening of a new chapter in the history of Davie County. Free Community Event – Sugar Valley Airport Fly-In on Saturday, September 27

Sugar Valley Airport is holding its annual fly-in/drive-in on Saturday, September 27.  The public is welcome and everyone is invited to enjoy the festivities, airplanes, live music, crafts, arts, magic show, and a wonderful presentation by those who use aviation for service to their communities.  Hot dogs, fries, hamburgers, popcorn, ice cream available.   Activities begin at 9:00 am with a Spot Landing Contest, and continue throughout the day until 3:00 PM. Davie County Memorial Dedication and Day of Remembrance – 9/11/2014

September 11, 2014 began in Davie County with a prayer breakfast hosted by our friends at WinMock at Kinderton and the raising of a 30’ x 50’ American Flag on the grounds at WinMock. First responders from across Davie County gathered on the grounds at WinMock at various times throughout the day for what is becoming an annual tradition on 9/11 so that friends and neighbors from the community would be able to say “thank you” in person to many of the folks we rely on throughout the year to help us in our greatest hours of need.
