Alternative Routes for Interstate 40 Closure this Weekend at Yadkin River Bridge

Interstate 40 closed all weekend at Yadkin River Bridge The North Carolina Department of Transportation will close I-40 Eastbound at Exit 180, NC 801 near Bermuda Run beginning at 8:00pm on Friday, July 19, 2013. This closure will be in place continuously through 6:00am Monday, July 222, 2013 and will consist of preservation and rehabilitation work on the bridge that carries I-40 East over the Yadkin River. Great Bullhole Duck Race This Saturday

Duck Race, Tube Race, Trophies and over $500 in Prizes 1,000 ducks will brave the river this Saturday.  You would have to be crazy to race down a river if you were less than four inches long and weighed only a few ounces or you might find comfort in numbers. Davie Community Foundation 5k Popsicle Run Makes Reader’s Digest “Best in America” Cover Story

Due to the likelihood of strong thunderstorms and high winds this evening, Community Movie Night at WInMock has been rescheduled for Friday evening, June 14 at 8:30 PM.   We expect great weather Friday evening so come on out and join us for the Universal Pictures film, “Despicable Me”.
