Brodie Baker, a North Carolina native and graduate of Guilford College where he played football, basketball and baseball, has lived in Davie County since 1978.  Brody is a charter member of Bermuda Run Country Club and he has honed his skills on all of our local courses and on golf courses around the world. “Flying Canvasses” The Davie County Arts Council, in collaboration with the Town of Mocksville, is exhibiting the fourth annual “Flags of Davie” along North Main Street.  This is a community arts project of flags painted with summertime themes. The Great Bullhole Duck Race of 2010!

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010 started out like any other summer weekend day at the Bullhole.  Sunbathers, swimmers, fishermen and families looking to beat the heat descended on RiverPark at Cooleemee Falls for a family day at the beach.  At one point in the early afternoon, it became apparent to all that this was not going to be the average quiet and relaxing day at the park.  When a tractor full of rubber ducks appeared, everyone knew that this was going to be a day to remember.
