CEO of WFUBMC Presents Update to Davie County

The WFUBMC Strategic Plan Includes Davie County. Dr. John Dr. John D. McConnell, M.D., the Chief Executive Officer of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center was the keynote speaker at the Davie County Economic Development Commission quarterly update meeting on Friday, January 22, 2010. Dr. McConnell described components of the strategic plan for Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center as they relate to Davie County. Gershwin, by George! Acclaimed Performers Coming to Mocksville’s Brock Performing Arts Center!

WinMock at Kinderton ~ Progress Update on World-Class Event Center for Davie County

Back on November 23rd, 2009 we published a story on the fabulous future for the stunning 17,000 square foot barn which was part of WinMock Farm in Davie County. Today, Sterling Events officially announced the name, logo and a new web site for this outstanding project. The name of the event center will be WinMock at Kinderton. The name was selected to honor the property’s rich history and to stay true to the barn’s original namesake. North Carolina Department of Commerce ~ Partners with Davie County

Members of the Davie County Economic Development Commission and the Chamber of Commerce met with our partners at the North Carolina Department of Commerce at their offices in Raleigh earlier this week.  The purpose of the meeting was to update the Department of Commerce on development activities in Davie County and to provide details on buildings and sites available for future development in the county. Our State: Down Home in North Carolina, a prestigious and celebrated monthly magazine names Davie County as one of 12 locations to visit across the state of North Carolina. New Year’s Eve Gala Event to Benefit the Advocacy Center of Davie County

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Ladies and Gentlemen, you are invited to “The King’s Ball” on New Year’s Eve.  This promises to be a memorable, fun filled gala event including a live band (Phase Band), cash bar, heavy hors doevres and plenty of dancing.   Organized by Katy Junker of Mocksville, all proceeds from the event will benefit the Advocacy Center of Davie County. Surprise Guest Appears in Advance Christmas Parade!

There was a surprise appearance by a well-known political figure at the Advance Christmas Parade.  The surprise guest steps out of a massive white stretch-limousine about one minute into the first video. You can catch the entire parade on the Davie County YouTube Channel. See the Davie County Marching Band, The South Davie Band, dancers, horse drawn carriages, tractors, classic cars, rescue vehicles, fire engines, tons of floats… and of course, Santa Claus.
