Advance Christmas Parade at 10 am Grab a cup of hot chocolate and a chair and head to the Advance Christmas parade. Parade participants meet by 9 am in the parking lot of Shady Grove Elementary School on Cornatzer Road. Help “Flag” the Tree of Honor and Support Davie County Veterans!

During this season of Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, no one deserves our thanks more than those who serve or have served to protect our freedom.  A tribute “Tree of Honor” to honor and/or remember these brave folks is located beside the Mocksville Police Department and will be on display throughout the 2015 holiday season. The Goal is to fill the Entire Tree with Flags to Benefit Local Heroes! Bed Races and Christmas Parade Kick-off 2015 Hometown Holiday Celebration

450 More Jobs for Davie County as Ashley Furniture Continues to Grow!

It’s another economic home run for Davie County as Ashley Furniture Industries Inc., the world’s largest home furnishings company, announced last week plans to create 454 new jobs at its Davie County facility over the next five years and invest an additional $8.7 million at the site by the end of 2019. Ashley plans to add these new positions in the areas of upholstery, case goods, mattress manufacturing, warehousing, and information technology.  There are job openings available at the Davie site today.  Click here to apply!
