Lace up your running shoes, and have a chillin’ good time while supporting a great cause — take part in the 9th Annual Popsicle 5k Run on Saturday, February 8th! All abilities are welcome. Not a runner? No worries! Walkers are welcome too! The route begins at Mocksville Elementary across from Rich Park and goes through Mocksville and the Greenway. $2 Million Grant Awarded to Mocksville for Infrastructure Improvements to Support Jobs

By Jeanna Baxter White The North Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority has awarded the Town of Mocksville a $2 million Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to support public water and sewer improvements to accommodate Brakebush Brothers, Inc., a manufacturer of processed poultry products for foodservice, industrial, and chain accounts. The company began operations in Mocksville in October. The grant supports the creation of more than 200 jobs, along with a private investment of $60 million. Skyline National Bank Grand Opening in Mocksville this Thursday, December 12th!

Davie County – 17th Strongest Economy in the State!

Davie Connect, Davie Chamber and the Community College Join Forces at Davie County Job Fair

The event brought together 38 employers representing a wide range of professions and industries. Career options at the job fair included positions in the areas of healthcare, advanced manufacturing, business, IT, education and more.  The job fair was moved to the library and surrounding area which provided more space to accommodate a larger number of employers.
