Ribbon Cutting for the New Downtown Mocksville Park Tuesday, January 9

The Town of Mocksville cordially invites you to a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Main Street Park on Tuesday, January 9th at 11:30 a.m. The park is located between the police department and the Horn Building on North Main Street and features a picnic area, a sitting area, a water fountain feature, and a clock tower donated by the Rotary Club. Congratulations VF Corp and Ingersoll Rand

Two Davie County Companies Listed on JUST 100 Ranking Forbes magazine, in partnership with Just Capital, recently released its JUST list of the top-100 U.S. corporations, and two Davie County companies, VF Corp (85) and Ingersoll Rand (97) made the list. The nation’s 1000 largest publicly traded companies were evaluated on “how they perform on the issues Americans care about most.” Those issues include worker pay and treatment, customer respect, product quality and environmental impact. This Weekend – Friday Night Bed Races, Christmas Parade and Winterfest Coming to Mocksville!

Races Friday night, Parade Saturday Historic Downtown Mocksville will race into the Christmas season this Friday night, November 17th as 15 intrepid teams from local businesses, non-profits, WXII-12 News, and CW Channel 20.1 take part in the 6th annual “Twas the Night Before” Bed Races. The festivities will begin with the lighting of the downtown businesses at dusk followed by the Parade of Beds at 6 pm. The bed races will begin at 6:15 as CW takes on WXII. Students Explore Career Options as Davie County Celebrates Manufacturing Day 2017

To celebrate Manufacturing Day 2017, several local businesses and Davie County manufacturers provided a unique opportunity for all eighth-grade students in Davie County. Davie County participated in National Manufacturing Day for the first time this year through the collaborative efforts of the Davie County Chamber of Commerce, Davie County Schools, Davie County Economic Development, DCCC and the Davie business community.
