Casting Call ~ Auditions this Saturday!

The Davie County Arts Council and the Brock Players will host auditions for “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” at 10:00 AM this Saturday, January 5th, 2013. This Tony Award winning musical comedy centers on a fictional spelling bee set in a geographically ambiguous Putnam Valley Middle School. Six quirky adolescents compete in the bee, run by three equally-quirky grown-ups. Hundreds of Davie County Citizens Honor Military

Honoring Those Who Protect Our Freedom! A “Tribute Tree” to honor and/or remember those who serve or have served to protect our freedom is located beside the Mocksville Police Department during this 2012 holiday season. Entire Tree Filled with Flags! For each $1 contribution, a United States flag was placed on the tree to represent a designated service person.  The contributions were presented to the Davie County Veteran’s Administration for local veteran services. “Hometown Christmas” celebrations continue throughout the holiday season. Free Event ~ Hay rides from 6:30 to 8 PM on Friday, December 7.  Historic downtown Mocksville will host hay rides from Station on Main Street located at 185 North Main Street in Mocksville.
