The four oak trees standing tall on the square in historic downtown Mocksville were a perfect setting as Davie County came together to honor our veterans today. The Davie County High School Woodwinds Ensemble, the Jr. ROTC, scouts, veteran’s, students, community leaders and citizens came together today to honor our veterans. Dr. Hartness Appointed by Unanimous Vote The Davie County Board of Education has selected Dr. Darrin Hartness as its new superintendent of schools by a unanimous vote! Dr. Hartness is currently the superintendent of the Mount Airy City Schools, a position he has held since January, 2008.
