Dr. Hartness Appointed by Unanimous Vote The Davie County Board of Education has selected Dr. Darrin Hartness as its new superintendent of schools by a unanimous vote! Dr. Hartness is currently the superintendent of the Mount Airy City Schools, a position he has held since January, 2008. The surprise guest steps out of a massive white stretch-limousine about one minute into the first video. You can catch the entire parade on the Davie County YouTube Channel. See the Davie County Marching Band, The South Davie Band, dancers, horse drawn carriages, tractors, classic cars, rescue vehicles, fire engines, tons of floats… and of course, Santa Claus.
