Kenneth Gamble Appointed Mocksville Town Manager

Mocksville’s Board of Commissioners appointed Kenneth Gamble, current town manager of Denton, North Carolina, as its fifth town manager.  Gamble brings a wealth of experience having served as town manager in Denton for 2 years, and previously as town manager of Stoneville, North Carolina for 5 years.  He also served in Kernersville, North Carolina as a law enforcement officer for 19 years with the last 3 ½ years of his tenure as the chief of police. David Bone Named Davie County Manager

The Davie County Board of Commissioners met on November 18, 2020, and named David Bone as the new county manager. Bone currently serves as county manager in Martin County, NC (population of 22,671), a position he has held since 2011.  Bone has served a total of 18 years as a local government manager, having also served as the town manager in Wendell, Elizabethtown, and Chadbourn, NC. Sometimes dreams do come true, just ask Sonya Allen. Allen and her two teenage children, Smitty and Elaine, experienced homelessness after a water main break forced them to permanently move out of the home they owned.
