2017 American Legion Junior State Tournament Begins Friday in Mocksville!

Remember the crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd, and the smell of fresh popcorn? Relive those good times as the 2017 North Carolina Junior American Legion Baseball State Championship Tournament kicks off in Mocksville on Friday, July 14th.  The tournament will be held at Rich Park’s Mando Field from July 14th– 18th .    A game pass is only $6 per day with multiple games played daily. Since the 1990s, Cooleemee has honored Independence Day with a lawn mower parade that begins at Cooleemee School. Anyone can participate by lining up a patriotically decorated lawn mower, float, car, bicycle or pet by 9:30 a.m. The parade begins at 10 a.m. Bring your lawn chair and view the parade along Marginal Street.
