You Are Invited! HondaJet Presentation at Sugar Valley Airport in Davie County

Sugar Valley Airport, located near the very center of Davie County will be hosting a presentation by HondaJet on Saturday, January 14th.  The event is free and open to the public. Nick Newby, manager of eastern US sales for the new HondaJet in Greensboro will make a presentation about the new HondaJet aircraft and its impact on the economy of the area. It’s getting easier to be an involved citizen in Davie County, North Carolina.  We have received an invitation to broadcast the Davie County Commissioners Meeting live.   The Davie County, North Carolina Commissioners’ meeting will be broadcast live tonight, January 3rd beginning at 6:00 PM here on your Davie County Blog (click here or on the “Live Broadcast” tab at the top of the home page). Does your school club have a service project idea, but lack money to get it started? Are you involved in a church youth group that could use a grant to fund an outreach project? You may be eligible for funding from the S.U.R.F. Board Youth Grantmakers. S.U.R.F. Advance Christmas Parade This Saturday, 10 AM

The 2011 Advance, NC Christmas Parade will be held this Saturday, December 10th, beginning at 10:00 AM.  No pre-registration is required, just be at Shady Grove Elementary School before 9:00 AM. Enjoy the Parade and then Warm up with Chicken Stew! Help us “Flag” the Tree of Honor

A “Tribute Tree” to honor and/or remember those who serve or have served to protect our freedom will be located beside the Mocksville Police Department during the 2011 holiday season. The Goal is to fill the Entire Tree with Flags! For each $1 contribution, a United States flag will be placed on the tree to represent a designated service person.  The contributions will be presented to the Davie County Veteran’s Administration for local veteran services.
