Learn more about the plans for The Park at Lake Louise, during an informational meeting on Tuesday, August 6th at 6:30 pm at 64 Bistro at Colin Creek Golf Club. The public park will be adjacent to and integrated with the Colin Creek Golf Club, formerly Lake Louise and Hickory Hill. The 12-hole golf course and restaurant are already open. Summer Reading Camp “Informances” Inspire Kids

The 144 students attending Davie County’s 2019 reading camp celebrated their achievements with an end-of-camp “informance,” an informal performance solely for students to share what they have learned with each other.  Students sang, danced, played musical instruments, read poems and reports, and shared their artwork.

Davie Students Sharpen Literacy Skills at 2019 Read to Achieve Camp

One hundred forty-four Davie County students found out as they attended this summer’s Read to Achieve camp at Cornatzer Elementary School. Read to Achieve camp is designed to help third-graders meet state requirements in reading to advance to the fourth grade. The intensive four-week camp also includes first and second graders who demonstrated the potential of reaching grade-level proficiency in reading with extra help in the summer.
