ACC Tournament ~ 4 Days Fierce Competition!

The ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament begins today when Virginia and Miami, the 8 and 9 seeds tip-off at 12:00 PM.  12th seeded Wake Forest tips-off against 5th seeded Boston College at 2:00 PM while 10th seeded NC State tips-off against 7th seeded Maryland at 7:00 PM Tonight. Forbes Magazine Ranks North Carolina 3rd Best State for Business in America

Forbes magazine is ranking North Carolina as the 3rd Best State for Business in America, up 2 slots from last year’s Forbes ranking. In the Forbes rankings, North Carolina scored third in Business Costs and Regulatory Environment and ninth in Growth Prospects.  Forbes scored the states on six measures including business cost, labor supply, regulatory environment, economic climate, growth prospect and quality of life. 23rd Annual Shamrock Run, Walk and Tots Trot to Benefit Hospice and Palliative Care of Davie County

The 23rd annual Shamrock Run, Walk and Tots Trot, sponsored by St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, the Davie County YMCA and the Davie County Chamber of Commerce, will be held on March 5, 2011.  A portion of the proceeds from this annual event will be donated to Hospice and Palliative Care of Davie County.  If you have ever been through a hospice experience in Davie County, you can appreciate the heroic work being done to provide care and emotional, social and spiritual support for Davie County patients and their families in end-of-life scenarios.
