Davie County’s Kenan Fellows: Denise Absher, Elizabeth Bustle, Marty Creech & Diane Ireland

On Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Bermuda Run Country Club in Davie County, the 2012 class of Kenan Fellows teachers gathered for an orientation and opportunity to meet their mentors. They were welcomed by Dr. Valerie Brown-Schild, Director of the Kenan Fellows Program for Curriculum and Leadership Development. Davie County Schools Honored by College Board for Significant Gains in Student Achievement

Davie County Schools have received national recognition for achievement in the Advanced Placement Program which enables high school students to earn college credit. Between 2008 and 2010, participation in the Advanced Placement program grew by 28% in Davie County. As a result, the College Board has named Davie County Schools to the AP Achievement List for significant gains in Advanced Placement access and student performance! “Annie” by The Brock Players This Weekend!

Don’t miss your last chance to see the Brock Players production of “Annie” at the Brock Performing Arts Center in historic downtown Mocksville.  The set comes alive with dance and music by over 40 actors and actresses in this ever-popular production.  The show has been running in Mocksville since March 17th and there are just 2 performances left ~ Friday, March 25th at 7:000 PM and Saturday, March 26th at 3:00 PM.
