Habitat for Humanity of Davie County is having their first softball tournament on Friday July 27 and Saturday July 28 at the Center Ball field located at 1857 U.S. Highway 64 West.
Raffle Table and Great Prizes
Local businesses have donated items for a table top raffle. Tickets are only $1 and prizes include a 47″ LCD television, golf play for 4 at Lake Louise and Oak Valley, food gift cards from Restaurant 101, KFC and LaCarreta, car wash tokens and photo sessions. Stop by Friday and Saturday to see some great local softball and support your local Habitat for Humanity. Proceeds form the tournament will help fund a new Habitat for Humanity home for a Davie County family.
Bring the family out for a hamburger or hot dog or both while you enjoy the softball tournament. If you are interested in playing in the softball tournament you can contact Derrick Nichols at 336-577-6689. Entry fee is $175.00 and the first place team gets the entry fee refunded and earns a tournament trophy.
Shop the Habitat for Humanity ReStore of Davie County – Recycle, Reuse, Reduce and Rebuild
The Davie County Habitat for Humanity ReStore, located at 1035 Yadkinville Road in Mocksville (Squire Boone Plaza), is loaded with furniture, light fixtures, recliners, pianos and books and more.
The Habitat ReStore is a retail facility that recycles overstocked, discontinued, new and used building materials donated by manufacturers, businesses, contractors and individuals. These materials are then incorporated in the construction of Habitat homes or are sold to the general public at a discounted rate.
All income generated from the operation cycle back into Davie County Habitat for Humanity to support local and international building efforts.
Before replacing anything at your house check out the ReStore and see if they have what you need first. They may even have exactly what your college student needs for the dorm this year. Tent sales and a warehouse sale will be scheduled before the end of the summer. to make room for new donations. ReStore hours are Tuesday through Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. To schedule a pick up at your home call Tiffany during business hours at 336-753-1438. Remember one mans trash is another mans treasure.
