Global Business Leaders Visit Mocksville to Tour Ingersoll Rand Manufacturing Plant

US Department of Energy “Save Energy Now LEADER Showcase”
Earlier this month, Ingersoll-Rand, a global leader in providing safe, comfortable and efficient environments, welcomed the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and peers from nearly 100 companies for the Save Energy Now LEADER showcase.

Participants Include Duke Energy, Nissan, Toyota, DuPont, etc
The federal energy agency and companies have gathered for a day of panel discussions, workshops and networking on “Leveraging Internal Resources to Maximize Energy Efficiency.” Participating companies came from a wide range of industries and include ABB, Alcoa, DuPont, Duke Energy, Milliken & Company, Nissan, and Toyota.

The participants had the opportunity to tour the Ingersoll Rand Mocksville, N.C. manufacturing facility, which recently was recognized as a Duke Energy “Power Partner of the Year” for its significant energy reduction program.

Showcases Help Companies Overcome Energy Challenges
US Department of Energy LEADER Showcases are invite-only events designed to facilitate the sharing of energy management best practices.  These showcases help industrial manufacturers and their partners, including academia, utilities, and state energy office representatives, raise awareness of the latest energy management planning, processes and technological advances.

Attendees consistently cite the benefits of learning how their peer companies overcome challenges to energy efficient manufacturing.
