Unemployment Figures Released

The unemployment rate increased in 95 of North Carolina’s 100 counties for January 2012 while Davie County’s unemployment rate decreased from 10.4% to 10.3%. Over the last twelve months, unemployment rates increased in 58 counties, decreased in 35 counties and remained the same in seven counties.  Davie County’s unemployment rate decreased. The state-wide unadjusted unemployment rate was 10.5 percent in January 2012.
