Davie County is Home to One of the Most Important “Green” Initiatives in the Country Power Tray, LLC produces environmentally friendly packaging from renewable resources. The YMCA of Northwest North Carolina inducted Sarah Wood into the Red Triangle Society which is the highest honor a YMCA volunteer can receive. Biotech Employment Grows ~ Davie County Represented at 2010 CED Biotech Conference

The most recent step in pursuit of a vision for a biotech center in Davie County was attending the premier life science event in the southeastern United States, the 2010 CED Biotech Conference hosted by the Council for Entrepreneurial Development, in partnership with the North Carolina Biotechnology Center and the North Carolina Biosciences Organization. The CED Biotech Conference, with over 1200 participants, helped Davie County expand its network of contacts and relationships with leaders and entrepreneurs in the Biotech industry.
