2009 Davie County OrnamentIn what has become a treasured Davie County tradition, the 2009 Davie County Christmas Ornament will be premiered this weekend during the annual open house held by the local shops in historic downtown Mocksville from 1 to 5 PM on Sunday, November 22rd.

Local artist Janet Dean has captured a scene from a bygone era for the 2009 ornament, a painting of a bustling, historic “Martin Brothers” building.

The premiere showing of this limited edition ornament will be held at Restaurant 101, on the square downtown between 2 and 4 PM.  Signed copies of the ornament will be available during this event.

mocksville_lightsThe 2009 Davie County Christmas Ornament is the 19th annual ornament released in this “official” series of annual issues featuring historic Mocksville and Davie County landmarks.

The 2009 ornament will be available for sale beginning Monday, November 23rd at area merchants, banks, Mocksville Town Hall and the Davie County Chamber of Commerce.

If you would like to complete your collection, a few ornaments from prior years are available for sale at the Davie County Chamber of Commerce.
