The annual antique tractor parade through historic downtown Mocksville was a celebration of North Carolina’s rich farming heritage and a celebration of the great American spirit of Independence with a tribute to our military veterans.
Bill Angell was the Grand Marshall of the 2012 antique tractor parade. Mr. Angell, 97 years old, is the oldest living World War II veteran in Davie County. The town of Mocksville, all of Davie County and the Piedmont Antique Power Association (P.A.P.A) salute all of America’s veterans!
New for the 2012 parade was the “Got To Be NC Shopping Cart” from the NC Department of Agriculture. 15 feet long, 13 feet tall and powered by a Chevrolet V8 racing engine, the giant motorized cart celebrates the importance of agriculture to the North Carolina economy.
Well over 100 tractors participated in the 2012 tractor parade.
