The 3rd Annual Farmington Fall Expo is this Saturday from 10 AM until 2 PM.  This will be a day of family fun with food, kids games, antique tractors, live bands, silent auctions, crafters, vendors and organizations with information to share.  The Farmington Fall Expo is a community fund-raiser for playground equipment at the Farmington Community Center.  Admission is $2 or $1 plus 2 cans of food.  Children 12 and under admitted free.

About the Farmington Community Center ~ Preserving the Past and Promoting the Future
The Farmington Community Center is the focus of local efforts to preserve the past and promote the future.  The community is working to preserve the past  by restoring what was left of the old Farmington School and to promote the future by providing a place where groups like 4-H clubs, Girl Scouts, and Junior Master Gardeners can meet and a safe place for teens to gather for activities.

The baseball field provides a great space for local teams to practice ball and the tennis court is used regularly by youth and adults looking to better their game.  The Community Center supports youth through competitions that help youth earn prizes and scholarship money.  The center supports local seniors by providing a place where they can get a good lunch, enjoy activities, and get the support they need to live healthier lives. The Center also supports people with disabilities by providing a meeting place for the Farmington Deaf Social, which provides a time of activities and fun for the deaf and hard of hearing.  The Center also provides space for groups like the Arc of Davie to enjoy activity days at the center.  The Farmington Community Center ~ working each day to “Preserve the Past to Promote the Future” and to meet as many needs in our community as possible.
