The Mocksville Woman’s Club and the Town of Mocksville celebrate America Recycles Day from noon until 2:00 PM today at Junker’s Mill Outdoor Theater. Davie County Schools and local businesses are busy helping protect our environment and their customers by recycling confidential paper reports and other items in a “Shred South” commercial shredding truck set up for this purpose today. The Davie County High School Woodwinds Ensemble, the Jr. ROTC, scouts, veteran’s, students, community leaders and citizens came together today to honor our veterans. National Flooring Distributors of Louisville, Kentucky will open a 31,500 square foot manufacturing operation on Industrial Boulevard in Mocksville. Production at the plant will begin ramping up before 2011 year end and dozens of new jobs will be created before the plant reaches production capacity of 20,000 square feet per 8 hour shift.
