Even though Davie County Senior Services’ doors are closed to the public, the service to the seniors of Davie County has not stopped. Since closing the doors on March 14, Senior Services has served approximately 17,000 meals to older adults in our county. Thanks to the receipt of new funding from the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, Senior Services is excited to be able to expand this program even more. Creative Graduation Plans Chosen By the Class of 2020 Davie County High School principal, Doyle Nicholson, announced yesterday that Davie County High School will hold a drive-in graduation ceremony with a drive-thru diploma pick up. Senior students were asked to complete a survey with graduation ceremony options that aligned with celebrations that could lawfully be held at this time. They were also offered an option to postpone the ceremony to a later date.
