9/11 Memorial Service ~ Mocksville Town Square War Memorial

Sunday marks 10 years since the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Davie County Emergency Services is marking the date with a memorial service at the War memorial on the Mocksville town square. The service will begin on the square at 2:00 PM.  There will be all types of emergency vehicles on display.  The ceremony agenda includes opening remarks, ROTC presenting colors, special speakers, and of course the National Anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance. Cooleemee Recreation Golf Tournament ~ September 10th!

Come on out and join the fun for a good cause on September 10th!  The Cooleemee Recreation Department will host a golf tournament on Saturday, September 10th at Lake Louis Golf Club.  Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the families of Cooleemee through the Cooleemee Recreation Department. Construction Begins This Fall on $10 Million Health Care Facility in Mocksville

Autumn Care is investing in a new 70,000 square foot, 108 bed state of the art skilled nursing home in Mocksville, just off of Madison Road.   The $10 million investment will be used to replace the current Autumn Care facility located on Howard Street in Mocksville. 70,000 Sq Ft Project Means NC Jobs John M. Campbell Co. of Monroe, NC has been named as the general contractor and they are currently in the process of selecting sub-contractors for the year long construction project.  Construction should begin sometime this fall.  Patients should be moving in sometime in 2013.
