Main Street Half-Marathon of Mocksville This Friday and Saturday!

With the Main Street Half Marathon of Mocksville on Saturday and a Superhero Sprint and street festival on Friday night, downtown Mocksville is the place to be this weekend.  Even if you aren’t a runner, come out and enjoy live music, street vendors, food, and more. Congratulations! Davie Chamber Celebrates 22nd Pro Scramble Golf Tournament at Bermuda Run Country Club!

On September 16th, the Davie County Chamber of Commerce hosted its 22nd Pro Scramble Golf Tournament at Bermuda Run Country Club. The sold-out tournament is a favorite among the business community for its unique format of five amateur players paired with a professional golfer.  As the Chamber’s key annual fundraiser, proceeds are designated to fund their major business and economic development initiatives as well as networking and educational programs. “Congratulations” to the First Class of Davie Students to Complete Training and Join the DDAC Apprenticeship Program

More than a dozen electrical and mechanical trade students committed to four-year manufacturing apprenticeships last week during a signing ceremony at Sapona Ridge Country Club in Lexington, N.C. The event marked the completion of 500 hours of classroom and hands-on training in a pre-apprenticeship program and the beginning of full apprenticeship with one of six local manufacturers. Apprenticeships are coordinated through the Davidson and Davie County Apprenticeship Consortium (DDAC), an alliance of manufacturing companies in Davidson and Davie counties providing classroom education as well as on-the-job training for students.
