Farmington Community Center – A Davie County Hidden Gem

Davie County is filled with hidden gems, and one of the brightest is the Farmington Community Center. From bluegrass jams to line dancing and exercise classes, monthly special needs events, and teen activities, the community center has something for everyone. Farmington Nature Park The newest jewel to the crown is the Farmington Nature Park. Open from dawn until dusk, the park offers hiking and biking trails and fishing access to Cedar Creek. Fireworks, wagon rides through Rich Park, kiddie train rides, kiddie pedal tractor races, antique tractors, a ladies frying pan toss, and even a lawn mower parade are part of the weekend activities as our nation celebrates its 240th birthday. Free Concert! Gershwin on the Square – Town of Bermuda Run – Saturday, June 25th

The Town of Bermuda Run will be alive with the timeless tunes of George Gershwin Saturday night, June 25th, from 7 pm-10 pm at the gazebo near Town Hall. “Cruise-In” Tonight in Mocksville!

Visit the beautiful and historic square in downtown Mocksville on Monday evening, June 6th,  for  “Cruise-In” presented by the Piedmont C.A.R.S. Association.  Festivities begin at 5:30 and continue until dark. All types of cars ranging from old classics to the cars of tomorrow will be on display.  The cruise-in draws participants from the surrounding areas stretching from the Virginia border to the Sandhills ~ West from Wilkes County and East to Alamance and Wake Counties.  If the weather is kind, the cruise-in will draw as many as 250 cars.
