Providing Local Jobs for Local Talent
Gene Johnson, a former Davie County War Eagle graduate, and a member of the first graduating class at North Carolina School of the Arts, explained how hard it was to live as a performer in the area, “Though we have a prodigious talent pool, with performing arts programs at NC School of the Arts, UNC Greensboro, WWSU, and numerous others, the students have to leave the area upon graduation to find work. Broadway’s Best wants to alleviate that problem by offering paid acting jobs in their facility.”
