Students Explore Local Career Options as Davie County Celebrates Manufacturing Day 2019

On October 4th, students from Ellis, North Davie, and South Davie Middle Schools each toured two different locations including DEX Heavy Duty Parts, Dunlop Aircraft Tyres, Gildan, Ingersoll Rand, Pro Refrigeration, DCCC – Davie Campus, and WFBH-Davie Medical Center – Bermuda Run. Congratulations! Davie Chamber Celebrates 22nd Pro Scramble Golf Tournament at Bermuda Run Country Club!

On September 16th, the Davie County Chamber of Commerce hosted its 22nd Pro Scramble Golf Tournament at Bermuda Run Country Club. The sold-out tournament is a favorite among the business community for its unique format of five amateur players paired with a professional golfer.  As the Chamber’s key annual fundraiser, proceeds are designated to fund their major business and economic development initiatives as well as networking and educational programs. Brakebush Brothers Will Hire up to 300 Workers While Ramping up Production at Expanded Plant in Mocksville

After two years of intensive repairs and renovation, the former House of Raeford Farms chicken processing plant in Mocksville is now hiring with plans to begin operations in October. The central portion of the manufacturing facility off Eaton Road was heavily damaged by a fire in  December 2017. Brakebush Brothers, a 94-year-old family-owned value-added processor of traditional and innovative chicken products, purchased the facility from House of Raeford in July 2018. Brakebush has upgraded the facility with state-of-the-art production equipment and has expanded it from 72,000 SF to 110,000 SF.
