WinMock Hosts 10th Anniversary Event and Celebrates Being Back to Business

BERMUDA RUN, N.C.— WinMock at Kinderton is hosting a free community celebration on Saturday, June 5th from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in celebration of its 10-year anniversary and the community being back to business. This event will feature food, beverages, music, games, face painting, specialty vendors, local non-profits, free Wi-Fi courtesy of Yadtel and WinMock tours. Yadtel Receives $1.9 Grant to Expand Broadband In Davie County

Yadkin Valley Telephone Membership Corp. has received a $1.9 million CARES Act Recovery Assistance Grant from the U.S Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration to expand broadband access in Davie County.  Matched with $485,729 in local investment, Yadtel will use the funds to construct 111.5 miles of fiber optic cable in six areas of Davie County that lack access to high-speed internet. Greetings from Mocksville, NC

Visitors heading into Historic Downtown Mocksville on Gaither Street are receiving a brightly-colored welcome. A new mural reminiscent of the postcards of the 1960s -70s offering “Greetings from Mocksville, NC” gleams from the back of The Station General Store & Taproom at 185 North Main. Further Easing of Restrictions on Businesses and Gatherings Effective Friday – Vaccination Rates Play Key Role

Beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 24th, some places in North Carolina will be able to open at 100% capacity, including museums, aquariums, retail businesses, and salons. During a COVID update on Tuesday, Gov. Roy Cooper also announced that restaurants, breweries, wineries, amusement parks, gyms, and other recreation establishments will be able to have up to 75% capacity indoors and 100% outdoors.
