The Park at Lake Louise Celebrates Grand Opening With Ribbon Cutting

Nestled next to Colin Creek Golf Club is Davie County’s newest recreational gem – The Park at Lake Louise. Community officials and residents were invited to explore the park on March 20th as owners Dr. Joel and Beth Edwards celebrated its opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and hotdog lunch. From October 24th-29th, there are time slots for you to carve or paint a pumpkin at the Davie County Community Park. Then on October 31st you can come back to see your pumpkins lighting the way on Jack-O-Lantern Trail.

Bed Races This Friday in Mocksville ~ Wacky, Whimsical, and Outrageously Fun!

Historic Downtown Mocksville will race into the Christmas season this Friday night, November 22nd (rain date November 23rd) as wacky, whimsical, and outrageous teams from local businesses, non-profits, and the community take part in the 7th annual “Twas the Night Before” Bed Race. The festivities will begin with the lighting of the downtown businesses at dusk followed by the parade of beds at 6 p.m. and the bed races at 6:30. Mocksville Hosting Free Movie in the Park on Friday, October 25th!

Kick-off the Halloween season by bringing your friends and family to Downtown Mocksville for a free outdoor showing of Frankenweenie on Friday, October 25th. The movie will begin at 7 p.m. at Mocksville Downtown Park on Main Street.
