The holiday season is fast approaching and it’s time to get into the spirit by registering for the Hometown Christmas Parade which will be held on Saturday, December 4th at 2 p.m. The Hometown Christmas Parade is a beloved tradition that has been delighting young and old for decades. This year’s theme is “The 12 Days of Christmas.” Parade categories include businesses, churches, civic/non-profit groups, school groups, single/individual entries, and horses with entry fees ranging from $15 to $25. Scott Bader to Invest $16 Million in New Production Site in Mocksville

Global chemical company, Scott Bader, has acquired a new facility in Mocksville as it strives to meet growing domestic and global demand for its market-leading structural adhesives and gelcoats. The company has invested $16 million to purchase a 110,000 square foot industrial building on a 15-acre site in the SouthPoint Business Park on Hwy 601 N. With further investment, the site will be developed into a state-of-the-art gelcoat and structural adhesives manufacturing facility. Unsung Heroes: Mocksville’s Public Works Department Works Behind the Scenes Maintaining Critical Infrastructure

It’s 4:30 a.m. on a Friday morning. While most residents are still sleeping, Mocksville’s Public Works Department is already checking manholes to make sure water and sewer lines are flowing properly before the weekend.  Their goal is to complete the work while usage is low and traffic is light and to be off the roads and out of residents’ way by daylight, explained Director Brian Moore.
