Musical Farewell to a Friend, Bill Foster, this Saturday

Bill Foster, a resident of Mocksville, a Mocksville board member, and the owner of Foster Drugs, a pharmacy located in Mocksville, died at his home on Tuesday morning. A musical farewell celebrating the life of Bill Foster will be conducted at 4:00 pm Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Brock Performing Arts Center. The family has requested casual attire only please. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be considered for the Bill Foster Scholarship Fund. Davie County Chamber of Commerce Celebrates Success of 15th Annual Chamber Golf Tournament

The Davie County Chamber of Commerce held its 15th Annual Pro Scramble on Monday, September 10th at the Oak Valley Golf Club.    Scores of local business and community leaders and golf pros enjoyed a beautiful afternoon while competing in a friendly round of golf at Oak Valley Golf Club. Professional golfers from clubs throughout the Carolinas served as “captains” of the teams each consisting of 5 amateur players. Sugar Valley Airport hosts aerospace education event in Davie County

Sugar Valley Airport ~ Serving the Community Over twenty cadets and adult officers from Civil Air Patrol Squadrons in Winston-Salem, Statesville, Boone and South Charlotte camped out at Sugar Valley Airport Friday night, September 14th.  The purpose of the visit was to explore one of the pillars of CAP work: aerospace education.  As an auxiliary of the United States Air Force, the Civil Air Patrol is uniquely qualified to inspire our youth with aerospace education.
