“Open House” in Historic Downtown Mocksville, Sunday, November 20th, 1-5 PM

Historic Downtown Mocksville will host the annual Christmas Open House this Sunday form 1-5 PM.  This is your opportunity to experience the excitement of the upcoming holiday season right here in Davie County.  Most of the shops in town will be open with holiday displays and holiday gift ideas. Mocksville Woman’s Club and the Town of Mocksville Celebrate America Recycles Day!

The Mocksville Woman’s Club and the Town of Mocksville celebrate America Recycles Day from noon until 2:00 PM today at Junker’s Mill Outdoor Theater. Davie County Schools and local businesses are busy helping protect our environment and their customers by recycling confidential paper reports and other items in a “Shred South” commercial shredding truck set up for this purpose today. This commercial shredding service is being offered to residents and businesses at no cost during this free community event. Davie County Honors All of our Veterans on Veteran’s Day 2011

The four oak trees standing tall on the square in historic downtown Mocksville were a perfect setting as Davie County came together to honor our veterans today.  The Davie County High School Woodwinds Ensemble, the Jr. ROTC, scouts, veteran’s, students, community leaders and citizens came together today to honor our veterans.
