The Packaging Group Opens in Mocksville Bringing Dozens of New Jobs

Lee Jeans Consolidation Means More Jobs for Davie County

VF Corporation, a global apparel leader headquartered in Greensboro, NC selected Davie County as the single point of distribution for Lee Jeans to all US markets, increasing the volume of Lee Jeans shipped out of the Mocksville facility.   This brought an additional 50 jobs to Davie County with the possibility of more jobs by year end.  Currently there are 430 associates at the Lee Jeans distribution facility in Mocksville.  As a result of this consolidation, every pair of Lee Jeans, from Maine to Florida, New York to Alaska is now shipped out of Mocksville to retailers throughout North America. “Davie […]

North Carolina is in the winner’s circle for the US Department of Education’s “Race to the Top” grant competition. In the video below, US Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan, announced the winners. For over 50 years, Washington has relied on formulas to distribute federal education dollars to the states based on school district size and other data.
