Census Bureau Begins Door to Door Visits

If you haven’t completed the census, expect a knock on your door. This week, the U.S. Census Bureau began following up with households nationwide that have not yet responded to the 2020 Census.  Based on the current national self-response rate of 63.3%, the Census Bureau estimates it will need to visit about 56 million addresses to collect responses in person. As of August 9th, Davie County ranked fourth in the state, with 67.7% of the county’s residents having responded. Energy United Property Ties in With Mocksville’s Comprehensive Plan

State Grant Will Enable Infrastructure Improvements

$175,000 Grant Awarded to Mocksville for Infrastructure Improvements  By Jeanna Baxter White The North Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority has awarded the Town of Mocksville a $175,000  Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to support a sewer line extension to a site near Interstate 40 where Special Event Services (SES) is expanding its operations. SES, headquartered in Winston-Salem, provides audio, lighting, design, staging, and live event productions for businesses, religious organizations, and major recording artists.
