Christmas Tour Will Brighten Your Spirits This Saturday

Enjoy splendid hospitality, beautiful decorations and humble fellowship as Cooleemee opens its arms during its Christmas Tour of Homes on Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 11 am through 4 pm. Eight homes, including six homes that have witness more than a hundred years of history, five historic churches each with unique architectural flourishes, and two museums with guided tours will be stops on the tour. Davie County EDC Launches Job Creation Initiative ~ “Together we are Davie”

The Davie County Economic Development Commission (DCEDC) launched the public phase of its first ever capital campaign with a kick-off breakfast at WinMock at Kinderton in Bermuda Run. Campaign chairman Dr. John McConnell, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center CEO, hosted the event and delivered the keynote address. McConnell spoke of the absolute necessity of communities working together to advance economic development and taking ownership in determining their prosperity. “Twas the Night Before” Bed Race Kicks off 2013 Hometown Holiday Celebration
