On Saturday, December 6th, from 10 am until 3 pm, the Farmington Community Center and Nature Park at 1723 Farmington Road, Mocksville will come alive with the sounds and sights of the season for the 3rd Annual Christmas in Historic Farmington.
Come on out and listen to beautiful Christmas music sung by The Journeys, a mother and son (who is autistic) from Dobson who make beautiful music together and share the joys of having a child with special needs, but wonderful God-given talents. Also featured will be Steve Gray and Berach Choir and Cornerstone Christian Church Choir.
Many local businesses will be set up in the gym sharing their products and services for your Christmas shopping needs. Homemade soups, stews, grilled cheese and more will be served by the ladies of the Board of Directors of the center.
Santa will be present to speak with the little ones (and the little ones at heart). There will also be face-painting and other kids activities, including the Polar Express train ride (weather-permitting) and Horse and Wagon rides.
Admission is free, but please considers bringing a can of food to donate to the Girl Scout Gold Award Project Food Pantry at Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Fork. There will also be information available on the forthcoming Girl Scout Gold Award Project Dog Park which will be located at the center and will feature a memorial to our fallen canine officers, such as Gorky.
Please come out to enjoy the Farmington Community Center and support the development of the Nature Park behind the center and bring your family for some holiday fun!
