Born and raised in Miami, Oklahoma, Osborne began playing piano by ear at the age of four. He started formal training when he was five years old. Osborne received his undergraduate degree from Oral Roberts University. At Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, he studied classical pipe organ and piano performance, with a minor in French.
