Another Davie County Business is Expanding – Trailers of the East Coast

Trailers-East-Expansion-10-2013Thanks to a loyal customer base, business is growing at Trailers of the East Coast and they are expanding to better meet customers’ needs.  Trailers of the East Coast is adding 80,000 square feet (2 acres) to their location adjacent to Interstate 40 in Mocksville, NC bringing the total space to 10 acres.

Expanding for a better shopping experience
Trailers of the East Coast stocks hundreds of dump and utility trailers, horse and stock trailers, open and enclosed cargo trailers, car haulers, toy haulers, vending trailers, trucks and motor homes.  This additional space will help improve the positioning and display of inventory for the best possible shopping experience for customers.

Expanding for a better service experience
As one of the oldest and largest trailer dealers in the Eastern US, the Trailers of the East Coast service department works with customers from across the nation.  This additional space will allow the service department m to improve service by improving the positioning of service units and work-flow through the service department.

Expanding for better value
This expansion will help Trailers of the East Coast run a more efficient operation by providing additional space for work flow management.  An efficient, low cost operation helps provide the best value to the customer. The customer who receives the best value for their dollar will be a return customer and will tell others about their experience, ultimately improving the bottom line.

Relationships drive success
Excellent service and consistently high quality work doesn’t simply happen by accident. Ask Bill Junker how he was able to expand so rapidly in the face of several economic downturns, and he points back to some core values that should be at the heart of any business, particularly in the retail and service sectors.

“Life is about relationships,” he says. “It’s about helping one another and being fair to people.  When Trailers of the East Coast moved to our current location on Interstate Drive in Mocksville in 1997 we had 10 employees.  By 2002 we had grown to a workforce of 18 employees.  Over the last 10 years, employment at Trailers of the East Coast has more than doubled again and today Trailers of the East Coast has 43 full time employees serving customers across the US.”

The formula for success for Trailers of the East Coast has been simple, “Provide the customer with a good product at a fair price and give them service after the sale – it works.”
