Davie County EDC Provides Development Update to NC Department of Commerce

on December 15, 2011

The Davie County Economic Development Commission met with the North Carolina Department of Commerce at their offices in Raleigh in late November.  The purpose of the meeting was to update the Department of Commerce on development activities in Davie County and to provide details on buildings and sites available for development in the county.

Davie County is home to top tier commercial buildings and sites that are shovel-ready for development.  We have well-developed energy, utilities and transportation infrastructure in place, favorable climate and topography and we have an abundant supply of high-quality workers available.

Fast-Tracking Projects Reduces Development Costs
A knowledgeable and experience Davie County Economic Development Commission works closely with developers, providing single-source coordination with local and state government agencies to fast-track projects, keeping development costs down.

Partnership with North Carolina Department of Commerce
The partnership between Davie County and the North Carolina Department of Commerce has always been strong and positive and this meeting helped strengthened that partnership as we were able to express our appreciation personally to the Department of Commerce for their support and for all of their hard work on our behalf.

The Department of Commerce has helped Davie County attract, retain and grow industry in our community and they continue to play an important role in promoting Davie County by providing guidance and support with many economics development projects.
