A state of emergency has been declared for Davie County. Residents are asked to please curtail non-essential travel to keep local roads and highways clear for emergency vehicles.
There will be a shelter open at the Brock gym today staring at 4pm today. The red cross will be operating the shelter. If there are clients with special needs please bring a care giver with you. If you have questions about a shelter you can contact Jerry Myers with Emergency Management at 753-6163.
