Four-Oaks-Fesitval-2013-PosterHistoric Downtown Mocksville Welcomes You and Your Family!
Visit historic downtown Mocksville for an entire day of family fun on Saturday, October 12, 2013. Relish the fall weather and stroll the quaint downtown area while enjoying a variety of activities throughout the day at the Four Oaks Festival.

There will be activities from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. including “country” and “rock” music beginning at noon at the Junker’s Outdoor Theater which is located at 107 South Salisbury Street in Mocksville, NC.

The children will be entertained by face painting, a rock climbing-wall, and lots more. Everyone will appreciate the opportunity to do some holiday shopping and to listen to some great bands. Browse merchants selling an array of unique crafts and gifts, handmade soaps, artwork, and other, “hard-to-find” handcrafted items.

Once you “shop until you drop” at all the great vendors downtown, relax with a Pedicab ride or indulge in some local dining, before pulling out your lawn chairs at noon to unwind, with some “live” music at Junker’s Mill Outdoor Theater.

Bring Your Own Chair to This Free Outdoor Concert!
Hometown musician, Tony Baily kicks off this musical afternoon at 12:00 p.m. with the “best of” country and rock. At 1:45 you can jam to the sounds of Mystery Hillbillies, a band that blends swing, boogie, and 50’s R & B for a truly amazing sound. Then hear hits of the late 80’s and 90’s from Tony Montieth at 3:45. NoCand, featuring Mel Jones and Don Story will finish the day from 5:30-7 p.m. playing your favorite 60’s rock and soul classics from The Drifters, Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, The Coasters, and Little Feat.

Holiday Events Are Coming Up
This is just one of the many community events that are coming up during the holiday season.  For a complete listing of community events throughout Davie County, see the Davie County Events Calendar hosted by your Davie County Chamber of Commerce.

The 2013 Hometown Holiday Celebration kicks off with the Bed Races on Friday, November 22nd followed by the Hometown Christmas Parade on Saturday, November 23rd.

If you have never shopped or visited downtown Mocksville, this would be a great day to stop in and find out what you have been missing.
