Free Christmas Events in Mocksville this Weekend
The Christmas celebrations continue this weekend in Mocksville. Come on out and enjoy the sights and sounds of the season! While you are downtown, don’t forget to do a little Christmas shopping in the unique shops and dine in one of the delightful restaurants.
Piedmont Firefighters Pipes and Drums – Friday, December 20th, 6 – 7:30 p.m.
Free event. The Piedmont Firefighters Pipes & Drums will be strolling through the downtown Mocksville area on Friday, December 20th from 6 – 7 p.m. You’ll hear the beautiful and joyful sounds of bagpipes and drums – perfect for a Christmas celebration!
“We are Piedmont Firefighters Pipes and Drums, carrying on the tradition of Irish/Scottish heritage,” says their Facebook page. The band is composed of firefighters, law enforcement, paramedics, public safety personnel and civilians from Forsyth, Yadkin, Davidson and surrounding counties.”
A Day with Santa & Mrs. Claus – Saturday, December 21st, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Free event. Hey kids! Bring your letters to Santa and Mrs. Claus – they’ll be in downtown Mocksville at Main Street Park to take them personally! We’ll also have an ice sculpture demonstration with Chef Al Romand and you can feed the reindeer! PLEASE BRING A NEW TOY DONATION FOR THE TOYS FOR TOTS PROGRAM!
Davie Community Band & Christmas Tunes – Saturday, December 21st, 6 – 8 p.m.
Free event. Enjoy the sounds of the season as the Davie Community Band strolls through the downtown area.
