Ashley for the Arts - A Tapestry ofTalent

Musical Theatre, Film Productions, Dance, Choral and Instrumental Performances
On Saturday, May 9 from 1-5 PM Davie County Schools will host the 5th Annual Arts Smart Festival sponsored by the Ashley for the Arts national initiative, now known as the Ashley for the Arts Festival.

This exciting event will take place at Davie High School in the cafeteria, gymnasiums, and art classrooms.  Every arts educator in Davie County Schools will be bringing students to perform or exhibit their art work. The activities are designed to entice all ages to participate in art and music making.

Performances will include musical theatre, film productions, and dance, as well as choral and instrumental music. The entire community is invited to this wonderful event focused on Davie County families.

“The Arts have the power to enhance society with extraordinary grace and incalculable value.”
– Todd Wanek
President & CEO of Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc.

Tapestry of Talent
The theme of this year’s Ashley for the Arts Festival is Tapestry of Talent, an afternoon of experiencing and participating in the arts.  Through the generosity of Ashley Furniture and the Ashley for the Arts initiative, arts educators throughout Davie County have been able to participate in grants for equipment, instructional supplies, instruments and instrument repairs and technology for the arts classrooms.

Please join us in saying “Thank You!” to Ashley Furniture for their generous support of The Arts in Davie County Schools.  Join us on Saturday, May 9 from 1-5 PM at Davie County High School and enjoy the superb talent of our student artists.
