Enjoy a little Blues, Beach, Country, Funk, and Rock as multi-talented Tess & the Black & Blues Band takes the stage this Saturday night, October 6th, from 7 -10 p.m in the quad near Restaurant 101 in downtown Mocksville. Theirs is the final performance is this season’s free Concerts on the Square series sponsored by the Town of Mocksville.

Enjoy a full day of free fun for the entire family during the annual Oaks Festival, next Saturday, October 13th, from 10 a.m.- 7 p.m. in historic downtown Mocksville. Dozens of vendors will feature unique craft and gift items as well as showcase local businesses. There will be food vendors, lots of free kids’ activities, and free live music at Junker’s Mill Outdoor Theater beginning at 12:30.

Inflatables, Balloon Art and More for the Kids
Kids will enjoy the inflatables, as well as crafts like “decorate your own pumpkin” assisted by the Davie County Early College Junior Civitans and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. The ever-popular Michael Decker will be story-telling and creating his fabulous balloon art.
Crafts, food, and the kids’ area will be set up on Main St. and run down Depot St. leading to Junker’s Mill Outdoor Theater.

The music starts at 12:30 and continues until 7:00 p.m. at Junker’s Mill Outdoor Stage, 107 S. Salisbury St. BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR AND NO COOLERS, PLEASE. Water, wine, and alcohol by Morgan Ridge Railwalk & Brewery will be available for sale at Junker’s Mill, and food vendors will be at the top of the hill on Depot Street.
