Join us for a fantastic day of family-friendly fun at the annual Oaks Festival in historic downtown Mocksville on Saturday, October 14th, from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. There’s something for everyone, including handcrafted treasures, art, delicious food vendors, free fun-filled activities for kids, and live concerts throughout the day.

The heart of the action will be on Main Street, stretching down West Depot Street, leading to the entertainment area and outdoor stage.

Kickstart your holiday shopping or treat yourself to something special as you explore the diverse selection of crafts, Christmas specialties, and one-of-a-kind items available for purchase. From exquisite pottery and stained glass to reclaimed wood creations, you’ll find unique pieces that will captivate your imagination. Additionally, get a head start on your fall decor with pumpkins, flowers, handcrafted wreaths, and decorations. The vendor area will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Inflatables, Balloons, Face Painting, and Creative Activities

Children can jump with joy as they enjoy inflatable attractions, face painting, and balloon animals by the talented Michael Decker.

Relax with Your Own Chair and Revel in Free Live Concerts All Day!

The musical extravaganza begins at 1:30 p.m. and continues until 7:30 p.m. at the mobile stage located at the end of West Depot Street. Remember to bring your own chair and kindly refrain from bringing coolers. Food and beverages will be available from vendors at the top of the hill on Depot Street.

1:30 p.m. – Taylor Vaden & Memphis Thunder: The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Band

Slip into your “Blue Suede Shoes” and journey back in time with Taylor Vaden and the Memphis Thunder, an authentic 1950s Elvis tribute band, performing from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Taylor’s performance captures the essence of Elvis, both in persona and musical talent.

3:30 p.m. – Moxie: Rock ‘n Roll 

Get ready to groove to the infectious energy and unparalleled talent of Moxie as they take the stage from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Their dynamic fusion of high-energy dance music, R&B, and funk from the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s promises an exhilarating performance that will have you dancing and clapping along. If you’re a fan of Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder, and Tina Turner, Moxie is the band for you.

6 p.m. Camel City Yacht Club: Smooth Rock 

 Sail into the evening with the smooth stylings of Camel City Yacht Club. Since 2020, these five seasoned musicians have been dedicated to delivering the finest soft rock hits of the ’70s and ’80s.
