The Town of Bermuda Run will be striking up the band as the North Carolina Brass Band continues the Sounds on the Square concert series this Saturday night, June 23rd, from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. at the gazebo near Town Hall in the Kinderton Business Park.
This is the third of five free concerts co-sponsored by the Town of Bermuda Run and the Davie County Arts Council. Eric & The Chill Tones, who play the top hits of the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s, will perform on Saturday, August 25th; and On The Border – Ultimate Eagles Tribute Band will play on Saturday, Sept. 8th. All of the concerts begin at 7 p.m.
The North Carolina Brass Band, under the direction of Brian Meixner, is a brass band composed of many of the finest brass players and percussionists in the state. Including symphony orchestra musicians, leading soloists, chamber music professionals, jazz artists, brass and percussion professors at universities throughout the region and highly sought after freelance professionals. The diverse musicians of the NCBB have come together to create an ensemble as colorful and vibrant as the literature they perform.
The Quintet is formed by musicians who play with W-S Symphony and are educators at UNCG and High Point University. They will be performing popular tunes, Broadway hits, and Patriotic tunes.
